I'm in the market for PC3200 DDR, but don't want to spend a ton for top-of-the-line stuff (from 2.2now to 2.4(with better mem))
So, I was curious, would ppl here be daring enough to buy from an ebay personal sale or auction?

I'd only consider it if the deal was through an actual business....maybe. Doesn't ebay still have solid businesses selling anymore? Personally, I don't go for anything but Crucial memory...though they may be on the expensive side, it's worth it in quality.

I need PC3200 or better. I own a GB of Crucial memory, but to my knowledge, Crucial only makes up to PC2700.

I wouldn't. The possibilities of not getting what you bought is too great. I mean someone could take a stick of SDRAM, slap a sticker on it, and say it was PC3200. You wouldn't know if it was, and by the time you did, he/she will have your money and I doubt it'll be easy to get a refund.

Yeah...what he said. Cuz I know I wouldn't be able to tell the difference or really bother to check to closely.
