160 GB Hard Drive
Office Depot had a deal about three weeks ago for a Maxtor 160 GB HD for $79.99 after coupon and rebate. I waited and waited and called numerous times. They finally told me it was on backorder. Well, the rebate expires next week, so I told them to cancel the order.
So I am looking for another good deal on the same size or larger hard drive. |

Well, I can't get that low, but newegg has Samsung OEM 160GB drives as low as 108, and yesterday I bought a very highly rated Seagate 120 drive from them for 96.

I was reluctant to purchase the Samsung unit. However, Smart Computing evaluated the 8MB Cache drive and said it is the fastest non-SCSI drive currently available. Now I am wondering about reliability. ![]() |
