hey im thinking about putting beat in my car. anyone know where i can get cheap prices on subs, amps, and a head unit. peace

I have had good success with www.Ebay.com and www.Crutchfield.com If you are going to install it yourself I would go with Crutchfield. You will pay fair amount, and they give you all of the parts you need at no extra charge. (If you just buy a deck, you will have to spend $15-45 for wiring harnesses+mounting brackets+antenna adapters)
One of my good friends swears that prices in Canada are much lower. |

roofy, how much you want to spend, ill be happy to design a system for you. dont use crutchfield. they are like 50% higher than legit other dealers.

In that range, you may want to just troll the Sunday ads (BB and such) for regular brands (sony, kenwood, etc). For example I think this was the week BB had a Sony sub free with purchase of Sony amp of like $129. Although,, it may have bene last week. It may take a few weeks, but at least you're in there

i did my whole system for under 100 bucks...
I have a boss mp3cd unit which retails for 129$... only paid 5$ a friend sold it to me. I got a 12in Infinity sub 1230w 1200w sub for 20$ on ebay. I got a pioneer 760w Amp for 35$ on ebay, all of them were used, but all in great condition!!! now look at that, all for 60$, oh then add 20$ for wiring and a custom made harness. |

Ive had good luck at www.nexxon.com
I got an Infinity Basslink there 3.5 yrs ago for 235.00 when they were pretty new and retailing for over 400.00. Also the guy who runs the site has a pretty decent sense of humor BTW the basslink is still in use, 2 cars later and werks great!

for subs and amps, i like JL and phoenix
you can make a pretty nice setup with 600 dont use cructhfield [too much $$$] when ubid.com first came out, i got 100 watt 6.5s, 180 watt 6x9s, 250watt amp, 200 watt sub, all rockford fosgate for less than $200. got a sony deck [will never get sony again] and 4 channel mtx amp for about $350 total. grand total is $550, and an extra 40-60 or so on monster cables.

Ubid used to be the shiznizzle, but not anymore....their shipping is super high too....
if you're looking for subs and amps Best Buy will run some sweet deals on the rockford fosgate amps and subs. They're cheaper than a lot of other subs, and I think they sound pretty good. Just another thought..... Best Buy will warranty open box items just like they do new items if you buy the extended warranty (It's so worth it, you can blow the speakers and the replace them no questions asked. Not a bad investment to protect your speakers for a couple of years. ) The open box items are usually around 30-40% off, so you can save some money, and if the item turns out to not work correctly, just take it in and get a BRAND NEW ONE!! Just my $.02 P.S. Best buy has an mp3 cd deck from pioneer for around 140 that looks pretty sweet....
