Advice/Deals needed on rentals at Fremont, CA

Can anyone tell where is the best to rent an apartment/townhouse that is close to fremont, CA? I'm moving up for a new job and it looks like a zoo when it comes to rentals? I also need advice on which neighborhood/complex stay away from. Thanks!
