If you actually bought your copy of HL just call Sierra and tell them that you think your code was stolen or something like that. I don't see how a valid code would stop working but I know that ALL of those keygen codes don't work for multiplayer games, only for single player.

well.. i have the cd but for some reason my cd key won't work on multiplayer (counterstrike) so i wanna buy a new one... or if anyone knows where i can get a cd key... please tell me!

Good point, call up sierra. But those keygens usually do work for muli-player, you just have to constantly try different.

If someone posts a key on forum or something you will never get on It checks all the keys If it matches it wont let you play multi player or just find one that works and stay connected 24\7. I have tried. My advise If your to cheap or you dont want a new CD just go to the store buy a CD take it outside in the car get the Key, and magic marker out 1 number then return it and say you forgot You already had that game. You got your Key everyone is happy.

There are some very sensitive people around here that get po'ed at even the thought of warez, stealing, and other criminal acts. So that's all I'm trying to say. This one guy had a "deal" where he told how he bought a voodoo 5 and returned it with his old voodoo 3 for a full refund. Boy, if the people of Got|Apex? had their way, he would of been crucified. I personally am a neutral person. But. . . anyhow, thanks for the 1000 post congratulations though.

Everyone is happy except the store now. Now they have to return that game. :\
Why go to the trouble of going to a store buying the game, getting the key and then returning the game when he can just call up Sierra. |

Haha, the store would think that you are REALLY stupid if you just bought a game and returned it with the excuse of, "I forgot I already had it."
Not to mention you have to open the box up for the CD and almost every store does not refund back opened software for the exact reason like stealing keys, making copies, etc. Hey if you try it, use the Monica excuse- "I am THAT stupid." |

I'm not saying you SHOULD do this but if you need a key you can get one from your local kmart... they even let ya borrow a pen to write the number with.. or so i have been told....

Of course it sounds like sh1t. Its almost like pop-eye was making fun of someone who would actually go to a store for a cd key number, blackened out one number of the key and then return the game like a jacka$$. Absolutely a store would assist someone in doing that.
