Sirius Tuner at work

I'm looking to buy a Sirius Tuner that I can use at work and at home.
Sort of like the portable XM Radio one.
On the Sirius website it seems like they have ~4 items that can do what I want but I can't get in contact with anyone from the company to confirm it.

I'm looking for something that I can play in a boombox, or as a stand alone unit with headphones.

I'm inside an office building, so would I just be better off getting a home kit and installing it at work?

You still need to run an antenna to an outside window if you use it indoors. Satalite needs line of site with the sky for the most part.

If you can't run an antenna to a window, you only have really two options that I know of:

1) Get an XM MyFi, which can record 5 hours of programming.

2) Get a repeater http://delphi.com/news/pressReleases/pr31006-01052005

I don't think that Sirius has either of these simiar offerings. However, if you CAN run an antenna to a window, then getting a unit that you can move is great, and buy a home kit for work.

You may possibly get better answers about Sirius equipment at www.siruiusbackstage.com

Sirius has ground repeaters already installed all over the place, but as SmokeyDP knows Im inside an office building with no access to a window.

I'm going to try and get in contact with customer support again, find out if the repeaters would be enough for me to get signal here

Sorry, should have been more clear when I said repeater. Both Sirius and XM have terrestrial repeaters all around. The repeater I was talking about is a new product from Delphi which basically acts as a wireless antenna. In other words, you put a "base station" by the window, and then there is a receiver that you plug your tuner into.

Sounds like there's mixed feelings on when/if Sirius is going to come out with a similar product:

As far as the terrestrial repeaters, probably your easiest way to find out if one is near you is to borrow a friends tuner and see if it works where you need it to work. Are you in a major city, or a smaller city? I think that most of the repeaters are installed in larger cities around the nation (I know I don't have one in my town of ~120,000)

This is the one really annoying thing about sat radio, you always need line of sight.
