I've ordered quite a few magazines from Best Deal Magazines, and so far I've had no problems. They send a few too many emails (seems like at least 1 or 2 a week), but for the most part, they've been great.

Just don't ever go for those "free" Stuff and Maxim magazine deals. Sure...they send you the mags for free...no CC required. But shortly after I kept getting phone calls at home from an 800 number.

Not sure how they got my phone number...maybe a cross reference from my address..but anyways, they would call...then hang up.

I googled the number a while back and found that others had the same problem. Someone would call, when you pick up you hear silence, then a click. Not sure what the point of the calls was...but it would always call around dinner time every other day or so.

My dad says that it may be some sort of system that calls numbers just to see if someone picks up, then sends more telemarketing and spam your way. I did get an increase in telemarketing.

Scary. Good thing we moved and got a new number.

Had the same problem. Have VoIP, though; a few clicks on their website and the number was blocked. Problem gone.
