Inexpensive ~30GB Hard Drive

I've currently got a 30GB Photo iPod and a 20GB hard drive on my computer. I'm planning on upgrading my computer after I move in a few months but would like to find an inexpensive ~30GB hard drive I could use in the meantime so I can actually fill my iPod rather than be constrained by the size of my computer hard drive. I'm currently using a 4 year old Gateway. I'm pretty sure the drive is IDE but I'm not that familiar with the different types and I'm not 100% sure or know if it can accept any other types. Any suggestions on a good inexpensive drive with at least 30GB? Thanks in advance!

Probably going to be tough to find one that small. I'd suggest looking at the usual suspects (Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Circuit City) in their weekly ads for a good deal on a HDD. Often they'll require rebates, but could be worth it.

Your other option is your local CraigsList (if you have one). You may find a used one there, and it would probably be cheap.

Good price: about $.50/gig. 60 gig drive for $30, 100 gig for $50, etc. Maybe something like this would work:

Best of luck...

You are probably going to find the best deals right now in the 120 to 200 gb range.

Not saying I need 30GB exactly. Just wanted to show I didn't need a huge state of the art drive and wanted a good deal. If there are good deals on 100GB+ drives I'll pick one up, just looking for the most inexpensive way to meet my needs.

Hmmm I may have a small 20 gig available soon. It's used but in good shape.
