Pic of The Day: Time To Hit The Showers
The green curved pipes are showers for people to wash off the sand as they leave Pacific Beach with the Crystal Pier and setting sun behind it. I took this maybe a couple weeks ago. With all the smoke and particles in the air, it has not been exactly healthy air to be breathing and riding a bike around in so I have been cooped up indoors- like a lot of people.

It's ok now.
The Air Quality isn't perfect yet, but it probably won't kill anyone. |

I think it'd be nice to live in a house on the beach like that, on a pier. Smell the sea air all day, always a nice breeze coming in, sound of the waves and the birds, etc. It must be very peaceful. I wouldn't like the population density inherent to such areas though... oceanfront is usually crowded. I like seclusion, and having that in such areas is extremely expensive. But it is beautiful nonetheless, and that's what this pic makes me think of. Grass skirts, sand between my toes, shells on the beach... all right outside my door. Well maybe the grass skirts thing is a bit too exotic, but it's MY fantasy, so eff off.

You can rent the cottages on the pier- not sure what they go for a night. Once summer is over, it quits down quite a bit and is mostly locals wandering around. Not that crowded at all now. |

Yeah, that Pier has always scared me. Lol. I don't know if I would trust renting a place on there. But I guess since it's only like a 10 minute drive from here, I have no need.
Are you back to riding the bike? I noticed last night after I left the windows open and woke up this morning, that the air quality is still just so so.. my throat hurts. ![]() |

I have been dying to get out, but don't want to be getting those particles down in my lungs. Hopefully Tuesday will be good. I am off and it will be free museum day at Balboa Park for locals. It was supposed to be last week but postponed due to the fires.

Still smells a little like smoke outside. It's a lot better than last week though.
Free museum day huh? Sounds like fun. Nice pic.
