If you have to go to other places to get something your SO cannot give you, it is cheating.

I would have to think if I didn't know about said sex toy robot, I would be a bit put off by it becuase my SO wouldn't have talked to me about a need he had.

I guess it would be the same thing as the "over the internet sex" where you can control the girl wearing a strap-on on the other end.

I would concider that cheating, but the girl is real... robot is not. Hmm... Nope. To me still the same.

I think that depends on the robot. A rhoomba, yeah, you have problems. Cherry 2000? You're main problem would be battery life, I'd think.

You are going from a toy that you masterbate with to a toy that is a robot - which would replace a human partner, not just the fun bits. I really see a difference between the two. The robot (assumptions here)being programable, vocal, and human like. There are some wicked robots being developed in Japan right now and not only for sex purposes. These would go beyond just a toy. This would be a really unhealthy relationship with a computer.

I can't agree with this at all. It seems almost like making the wife wear a chastity belt. Maybe you're sick. Maybe you're too tied for group participation. Maybe you finally got 5 mins alone after dealing with the kids all day. I dunno. But I certainly am not going to put limits on someones "personal time". Frankly, allowing for that is also part of a good relationship and good communication.

Ahh, I was just curious of the limits you may or may not set. So I guess you would find "looking at random pr0n" as in (not naked girls that you actually talk to on the net) as a bad thing ..

But anywho, yeah, typically it's probably not necessary, but some guys at certain times "need" it a lot more then a Girl wants to "give it" .. And it can help them out if they don't want to give it all the time.

I guess you could discuss it with them if you have a pretty open relationship, but I'm sure a lot of guys don't feel that comfortable at least in an "early stage" relationship discussing that.

i agree for the most part. altho i think this is a bit strict in terms of regular masturbation, i would think that jumping on a robot is different than using the hand or a simple vibrator.
