Gift Ideas

A good friend of mine, also a former boss of mine is turning 50 next week. I would like get something nice for him. Any ideas?
He's kind of like a father figure to me back when I was in UCSD, and usually I get DVDs for him during Xmas.

He collects comics, watches, ties. He's already going to the Comic Con so anything that can be bought there shouldn't be an option.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

How about buying him a rare comic book that he doesn't already own?

The other idea is, since he has been a father-figure of sorts since your time at UCSD, maybe you could make him some kind of framed collage of your history with him. You could include photos, things you worked on together, mementos, etc

I like Ray's ideas. I'm sure there's got to be SOMETHING that he's missing in his comic collection that would be reasonably priced.

You can get DVDs from x-strike studios. They do game based parody movies. River City Rumble was pretty good, I wasnt a fan of Silent Horror (but i never played silent hill so I didnt get most of the jokes), and I havnt seen the others yet, but Project Snake and Nth Mile look great.
