AP photo of Russia-Georgia conflict
ok, is it just me or is this a REALLY REALLY bad photochop?
 yes, it's a real AP photo. story here: http://abcnews.go.com/International/...5576812&page=4 perhaps it's the perspective from which the photo was shot?!?! but a cow the size of a tank!??!?!?!?!

Seems like the shadow from the cow is not the same direction as the shadow from the tank. Perhaps the cow was using a different sun.

Those are some odd photos to use for a news story. They could be real- in the first one, the cow is in the shade of some tree it appears. Also note that the focus is on the soldiers and gear and not the cow- the cow would have to be much closer to you than the troops. But again, odd pics to use with the story. The cows have no contribution to the image and in fact distract and detract from them. If I was shooting there (and I would rather not be shooting a camera where others are shooting guns!) I would not have even submitted such a picture (although editors want the entire series to give them context and proof of validity of other pictures- they do not want you deleting bad ones otherwise it looks like they might be getting censored). They do not want you to edit them yourself in any way. They will do the editing themselves.
