i remember....
...when i used to have a full page of unread topics on OT after less than 12 hours away....now we don't even have a full page of topics active in the last 2 weeks...

I can't speak for anyone else, but my free time, even at work, has diminished greatly over the past year (a lot more elective working days, 24/7 call ALL the time, etc.)

I blame Facebook. I've been active on forums since 1983 (on local BBS's) and they seemed to be steadily growing until about 2008. I've seen this drop in activity on all kinds of boards, both free and pay, broad interest and narrow interest. There's a finite amount of time people can spend online and Facebook has taken a lot of that time.
