Nokia sues Apple over iPhone
Nokia claims that Apple is “trying to get a free ride on the back of Nokia’s innovation.” There’s speculation that Nokia could grab as much as $12 per iPhone sold. Apple’s shares fell following news of the legal action.
http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=5967 And this after they post a $1.36 BILLION loss from a 20% decrease in sales... Nokia Posts $1.36 Billion Loss as Sales Fall 20% http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/16/te...s/16nokia.html coincidence? i think not... |

Fact is that Apple has stolen a lot of stuff that they sell. Remember the GUI and them claiming Microsoft stole it from them? Well, they stole if from Xerox. The first commercially available GUI was done by Xerox.
Apple is being sued for touch screen patent infringement as well: http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/04/taiwanese-compa/ Also, my understanding is that just about every cell phone manufacturer pays these royalty payments to Nokia for their tech. Apple is the only one that has refused. Apple is a bully like MS but most people just don't realize just how big of a bully Apple is. |

Apple is very strong armed. Even to the point that they violated their agreement with the Beatles' record label not to foray into the music business because Apple Records and Apple were too close of names.
They also try to stymie competitiveness via iTunes and their MP3 players to the point where they have a monopoly. |

Apple Records and Apple settled a while back.
All cell phone manufacturers respect Nokia and pay them royalties when deserved. Apple respects their bottom line, and that's about it. Not shocking they are refusing to pay for copyrights they stole. |

But they had to settle an infringement to a settlement of an infringement. They try to change the rules whenever it suits them. |

It's funny how none of us are shocked by this story. Well, maybe it's not so funny.
