So...I'm taking the GRE in a month...

And obviously I've been studying...but does anyone who has taken it already have any tips/insights/random musing about the test you would like to lay on me?

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

Read the answers before beginning the question. This gives you a chance to begin solving as you go. Helps you take note of what's important and what's filler.

I did the GMAT earlier this year, but I'm guessing the strategies are about the same...

Take as many practice tests as you can.
Understand the rules & strategies before you go in - what's your time limit, are you better off guessing or leaving unknown answers blank, etc.
If you can, find a study partner. Much easier if you have each other for motivation
Don't pay for any expensive courses, study guides or software. 99% of anything you would pay for you can get for free at the library or online.
Get out of your house to study - fewer disctrations. Go to the library. You'll be there checking out GRE books anyway.

Good luck!
