there's a lot of press coverage on this,... and like the article said, it's kind of sad that it seems to be working against at&t.
so you're on at&t? how do you like the service overall? customer service? |

Well, I live in a pretty heavily populated area so coverage is fine for the most part. There are no dead spots, and I get 3G everywhere in the immediate area. Customer service is good - they're pretty responsive, and we got a really nice discount (it's a work phone). The drawback is when you travel to less populated areas - you still get coverage in most places, but the data network is WAY slower, and there are definitely more dead spots than Verizon. And while I am no Apple bandwagon guy, I have to say that the iphone is without question the best & most useful phone I have ever owned. Battery life sucks, but I've learned to live with that. |

Problem is they have ****ty service in populated areas a s well....like NYC. I feel bad for all those people I see with their iPhones and the Apple reported 27% dropped call rate. I switched from ATT to Sprint about 10 years ago and never looked back.

I live in the DC metro area and I just switched to Sprint from ATT on Monday. I had ATT since 2006. The ATT service here sucks. I had problems with my voice-mail or lack of being able to have people forwarded to my voice-mail when I did not answer a call, inability to get a rebate on the phone I bought even though I was clearly eligible for the rebate, minor problems with customer service, but worst of all I had problems with signal strength and dropped calls on major interstates (I-66, I-495, I-395, 295-B/W Parkway, I-95, etc...) around here. There is no excuse for poor service on the highways around a major metropolitan area like DC. I had VZ before ATT and I only changed because ATT was so much cheaper than VZ. In this case, I guess you get what you pay for. |
