Black Friday Disappointments...

Is it just me or does it seem that the "Black Friday" deals this year are stuck on "suck"?

I didn't even bother going out this morning, based on the various flyer ads my local stores ran.

If they really were trying to entice us into the stores, well... I guess it just seems like they didn't try hard enough? (Or maybe it's just me... I dunno...)

Agrees. No deals that are not normal everyday ordinary sales

I got lucky on one thing. Not a big purchase but still saved me a total of $90 and took care of three presents. I was looking at some speakers for laptops/ipods and found some that looked good and had good reviews on Amazon. Placed the order then checked email one more time before heading to bed and found the same speakers at Staples for $30 less per set so I canceled the order. I had to go in early this morning anyway so figured I would take the chance and go to Staples before work. The store was packed when I got there at 6:08 but I guess no one else wanted the speakers and I got the 3 sets I needed. 45 minutes of my time and saved $90, I'm happy. I still made it to work on time too.

We went out at like 5 or 6 PM on Friday, and got a few things. I got some TV Seasons at Best Buy pretty darn cheap. Also I ordered DragonAge: Origins from BestBuy.com shipped for 38.00 with Tax and the Shipping was free.

The best deals were at the grocery store. My Kroger's had 100's of extra turkeys on sale for .29 - .49 cents a pound. Picked up two for later deep drying in the 11 pound range for next to nothing.
