For those who have taken the A+ certification or are studying for it does anyone know whether it has any questions on MAC's?

Hiro 07-09-2001 12:18 PM

not a single question about Mac's.

but the software has a lot of win2000 questions.

Did you take the adaptive test? Other than Win2000, are there any other subjects that I should focus my attention on?

win 2000, networks, anything that has an acroynm, like the parts of a printer, etc. IRQ's.

No MAC's, MAC is not a computer, it's a Mickey Mouse Computer so therfore A+ would not soil their pages with useless question about it

Actually they (CompTIA) should because a good techie should know how to troubleshoot a MAC as much as a PC. They should at least have a seperate certificate for MAC's. It's kind of biased not to.

They don't for a good reason... no normal tech wants to get his fingers soiled by the insides of the unholy mac... gives me the creeps just thinking about it, i worked with MAC's for a year, and ever since then i hate them with a passion... oh yea and the exorcist said that ridding me of that evil will take time... or was that my shrink

Another Q:

Does the A+ cover any preventative maintenance and/or using the Voltohm meter?
