Oh my gosh, guess what I just found in my office?

A SNAKE!!!

It was just a baby evidently, so I hope that doesn't mean there is a nest nearby.

Don't worry too much about it. They don't come out often. The usually just nest in your PC and create hundreds of little babies.

You two are not helping!

Thank Goodness it wasn't a lizard, I would never be able to return to work. Now I'll just have nightmares.

Did it have a little baby rattle to go along with it?

If not, don't worry then!

Baby rattlesnakes don't have a rattle. They don't start developing one untill they have shed.

I know, but when you see them they still shake their tail like they had one. I only know this because they'd show up every late spring/early summer around my house growing up. The worst thing is when you are hiking to your favorite trout fishing spot and you see one crossing your trail and you're not sure what if it's bad news or not because it isn't big enough.

Wow, my snake never went into my pc. Of course she was 4 ft long and prolly couldn't fit. She did, however, love squeezing into the wall heater.

We have found ours under the carpet (it's wall to wall but not installed because we can't in base housing) and also it lived in a stereo speaker for a few months before she came out one day just because.

But as for catching it and keeping it, I wouldn't. Just because if you have other reptiles, you don't know where this one has been, or just health issues and personal safety etc... not that Kim has other reptiles and would concider keeping it....

I found a snake in my office a few months ago. It was my son's albino corn snake. He lost it a month prior (he used to live in an apartment in the same building as my office.) I thought it was odd how, out of the dozens of offices and four apartments in this building, it was in my office.

He lost it again, and it was found in the women's bathroom of another business in the building.

He lost it again right before he moved five weeks ago. I keep wondering where it will show up next.

Fortunately, his tarantula never got out.
