Yes...would you be interested in paying $150 for 3 meals brought to your home? Um...I think not...for that price I'll go to a fancy restaurant.

I don't think it's 3 meals brought to your house. For $150, you get twelve meals that will each feed 3 people. Or, 6 meals that will feed 4-6 people. They don't bring them to your house. YOU go to the studio and do the assembly work from the raw ingredients, and then you can freeze them and cook them when you want. It sounded like a pretty wonderful idea to me! Two hours at the studio, they do ALL the prep work (buying, cutting, chopping, etc.) and you end up with quite a nice array of main dishes. The menu has some brilliant courses on it.
For $250 you can get 12 meals that will each serve 4-6 folks.
That multiplies out to feeding 48-60 meals for $250; or $4.20-$5.25 per person per meal at home....

Not bad at all, really!

OK...maybe I misunderstood...when I see 6 meals that feed 6 it sounds to me like 1 meal per person.
They also promote it as a way to not have to do dishes, but if you're bringing it home, you probably eat on dishes that need to get washed (unless you use paper, which you could do for any meal.)

I think I'll investigate further because it definitely sounded interesting.
If you try it, please post any information here so we can all learn from it.

They also had these "make your own meals" deals on some of the Clear Channel sites like STAR a while back, advertised on the "half off" bonus sites. And if anyone remembers the fairly recent movie "Hitch" with Will Smith and Kevin James, Will's character Hitch goes to one of these "make your own meal" places with his date Eva Mendes and ends up eating some type of shellfish and subsequently breaks out in hives from an allergic reaction to the shellfish.

I was going to try and win it from the website, but I missed the boat and it is gone. However, I did say they could phone me. I think I'm going to try it. The dishes part? Well, yeah, when you serve it at home you're gonna have to use some dishes and forks, etc. I guess the "no clean up" means after the assembly part: somebody else has to clean up that mess after you're done being "creative"! The menues includes pork and beef dishes, pasta, seafood, and calzone construction. Yum!

Did anyone besides me not see this trivia question when they logged in today?

I've had this happen a few times before, when several trivia/survey questions go up and not everyone gets them when they log in. Is this a KYXY glitch or do they selectively let groups of listeners get all of the points? Doesn't seem fair!

Guess I'm just venting after coming back from the "millionaire " tryouts at Sycuan and failing miserably!

Dinner D'Amore trivia is from last week-last chance to answer it was probably yesterday...But I know what you're saying-I don't usually do my codes until after work-sometimes the surveys & trivia are gone...

I've often thought that they were 'selective' at times because I do not always see the trivia either....maybe they don't allow those with a ton of points to keep 'adding to the pot' so to speak....
