IF you use FireFox/other browser. You can clean up the ugly KyXy/Sophie page. Like blocking the Amazon AD & Sophie Carousel.swf flash & etc. (works on ClearChannel sites too)
http://adblockplus.org (FREE)

but the site is still UGLY!

After I posted the message about I wondered why I was still getting points, I kinda quit doing it faithfully. Now the new web site is one more reason to give up.

Thumbs down And it used to be that....

You could have a lot of fun with the auctions - now it appears that they are really pushing the SWEEPSTAKES - I hope that everyone takes a moment to send them feedback telling them how low they have gone thinking that we are stupid enough to fall for the spam that they are now surrounding us with. I rarely listen to the station as I have Sirius satellite radio, but when I do, they STILL play the same songs over and over again too....it's unnerving!

I just discovered a new problem with the KYXY site redesign. Under station codes, when it asks what the weekly word is, there is a link to take you there. Until a year or so ago, that link took you directly there, but then they changed it so it only took you to a place you could get to the "this week" page.

Now with the redesign, when it takes you to the place you can get to the "this week" page, that tab is too far over to the right and is covered up by their new ad panel. You can't get there at all.

Luckily, the "this week" page is a bonus site where there is a direct link, but the link on the station code page is now useless.

Do any of you have an email address that works for KYXY? I tried using the addresses provided in the "contact us" section and they all bounced back. Guess they don't want to hear from us...

Is it just me, or does this new site, (and Sophie), run extremely slow?

Hmm I thought it was just me...

I wish they would have a survey to see how we "the LOYAL listeners" feel about their new website - it's horribly slow and utterly ridiculous. God forbid that your mouse go over one of the banner ads - I've had several interruptions because they automatically take you to their ad website and almost all of it is pure spam!!! It's incredibly frustrating....

Why can’t the stations just focus on how to get more promo items? Instead of finding ways to torture their LOYAL LISTENERS?

All these other stations need to follow ClearChannel's program. They have the best IMO. The rewards I've redeemed from ClearChannel have exceeded $1000 for each of the last two years alone. Not bad for listening.

KFMB stations would be second.

The Couch Potato, KYXY, & Sophie programs just suck. In four years, I got a coffee cup from Fox, (Though, like an ass, I'll probably keep logging points. )

I would probably still listen to these stations even without their rewards programs, but if you're going to have one that people will spend time on, then make it worthwhile.

Whew, glad I got that off of my chest.

I decided to stay away from ClearChannel because they were such a pain to use and to get there after work.
Now KXYX has become just as difficult (if not more) to use so I guess I'll give this up.
Couch Potato is very easy to use compared to anything else, but prizes are difficult to come by.
Jack/KFMB is pretty easy to accumulate points by almost impossible to get anything beside the stuff that nobody wants.

All in all, I'd say they all suck whereas 3 years ago, I think even the worst was easier to use than just about anything now.

I think they all have their issues due to the sheer number of members. But of all, CC is the one that has prizes that pretty much fit the tastes of most, and they close them through auctions, (which I like the most), daily. In other words, prizes are available daily, including weekends, even if it is only a $25 gift cert.

But you are right, they are all getting harder to use, even CC, though CC is easier than KYXY.

I TOTALLY agree with you, uncledaddy! Only I did not get a coffee cup. Zero, zilch, nada from KYXY for over a year.

Clear Channel's program is great! I have to stop winning now if I want to avoid paying taxes on my prizes.
