You need to go to "Song of the Day" and it's a multiple choice question. You can click "Sweet Emotion" there. You don't need to type it in.

not a clue what "VIP CODES" is

VIP codes that are not announced on-air can be found in many places:

Most 100.7 Jack FM events (check the Events page at sandiegojack.com for details, dates, and times), excluding movie premieres. Each code is good for entry until midnight, server time*, on the day the code is given. Only one code per VIP.
Jack's VIP Of The Day: If you are chosen, your name will be announced during the VIP updates (see "Passwords" above for times). Call in the station to recieve your 10,000 point code!

Song of the Day

So, has the song been played? Is it "safe" to enter song of the day now?

They announce it in morning and play it right after so yes you can enter it. It is multiple choice.,

VIP of the day is Jeff Winters?

The info I posted is fairly correct and was taken off the new Jack website. It is pretty easy to understand.

Thanks.

When you hear the Song Of The Day, note the time it played and then log on to Jack's VIPs to select your answer (multiple choice) - this still doesn't make sense to me. There is no time to go with the selection, so what's the point of noting the time?

re: VIP Codes
I signed up today and I got an email that gave me a VIP code for extra points ("welcome"). Maybe they'll offer them through KFMB-8 or in their newsletter?

Yeah, I do not think you really need to note the time unless they do it differently later. They announced the song and then played it right after announcement.

The SOTD was announced at about 9:59 as J&J were signing off for the day. Immediately after they played the song.

I don't know if this is how it will work every day, but that's what they did today.

Has anyone else noticed that it's no longer The Jeff and Jer Showgram, but instead it's The Jack Morning Show with Jeff and Jer?

It's a subtle difference, yet a very very big one.

Does anybody see the same thing? This thread doesn't get moved up to the top after a new message is posted. Is it just me?

It's a new station.. of course they are going to restructure and rename all sorts of things.

It moves up.. it just hasn't been made into a "sticky" thread... yet...

The "sticky" threads are always at the top.

But hasn't it always been The Jeff and Jer Showgram no matter which station call letters they were under?

I just checked the VIP website and you have to choose which time the song plays to get the points. It'll be sometime between 12 and 12:45.

Thanks for the heads up on the song, I'm watching the news (new Pope and all) so I'm not listening to the radio at all.

What is the Rock Lobster reference? Is that the J&J word?

The song will either play at 12pm, 12:15pm, 12:30pm or 12:45pm today.
(These are the choices posted.)

It was just the song they played after they announced the song. Sorry for the confusion.
