I love the fair. I got the deal that has the 4 admission tickets, parking pass, 4 drink coupons and 20 ride tickets!

This is great when you have kids cuz those rides are soooo expensive.

Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Days Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Days are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. On these days, you can buy a wristband for $25.00 that allows you unlimited rides. With a Pepsi coupon from Ralphs grocery stores, you can save $5.00 off this price. The following rides and attractions are not included in the Pay-One-Price promotion: Bungee Jump, Slingshot, Skycoaster, Pony Ride Turbo Jump and Rock Wall.

Maybe it's just me, but I never have trusted those fair rides. (But it hasn't stopped me from riding on them before!)

SD Fair is really fun. I've been almost every year for the past 3 or 4 years.

The fair rides are a little scary knowing the scary carnies set them up. But, in all the years I have been going to the fair I have heard of few problems so does not stop me. Guess that is part of the thrill.

Military discount tickets will be available starting in early May at all local San Diego base ticket offices. Save up to $38.00! Base ticket offices sell adult, child, and senior admission, as well as Value Packs, Ride Lover’s packs, and Fun Zone/Kiddieland ride coupon sheets. Military discounts are not available at the Fair gate. See the Tickets & Promotions page for descriptions of the admission packages listed above.

Pick up a special Military Value Coupon Sheet when you purchase your discount Fair tickets on base. The Military Value Coupon Sheet will be available in June (and only on base) and offers special discounts at many Fair vendors. You can also pick up a FREE Fair program on base in June or at the Fairgrounds during the Fair.

Please join us at the Fair on July 4, when we will honor our local military with a Hometown Heroes parade. A free Hometown Heroes t-shirt will be given to military with ID. The Grandstand performance that evening will feature a Navy flyover, performances by the Navy Band and country singer Lee Greenwood, and of course, fireworks!

Save time and money! Buy your Fair tickets in advance on base, and you'll also save time at the Fair's entrance gates. For more information on military discounts, visit your local base ticket office today! Download the Military Ticket information sheet (in PDF format).

Do you know if this offer is only good for today? Or does it have a different expiration date?

It's gotta be those miniature fried donuts that those two old ladies make! That line gets very long, but it's worth the wait! YUM.

I eat so much when I go to the fair. That is basically what I do go from food stand to food stand. LOL we tried the fried twinkies and snickers last year cuz my nephews insisted. The fried twinkies are delicious. Snickers I could do without.

I love the funnel cakes! You can also find almost anything on a stick

Where can you get fried twinkies, ginzu knives, and a side order of cool Asian cinema? At the San Diego County Fair!

Next Friday at 9PM, join SDAFF for a night of cinema under the stars at the County Fair. We are hosting an outdoor screening of our favorite short films. The program includes award-winning comedy, drama, and animated films. PLUS, we'll be giving away free tickets to this year's film festival.

Visit www.sdaff.org for our County Fair film schedule.

I don't think the trolley is free. However:

I believe parking on-site is $8-10. If you want to park for free, there is a shuttle that runs from Horsepark Equestrian Center...all days of the week. (El Camino Real and Via de la Valle). 9am to midnight (or 1am on weekends and Friday).

On weekends and on July 4th, there are 2 more free lots: Torrey Pines HS and MiraCosta College (San Elijo Campus). 9am -1am

Hope this helps. I scoped this on the official fair website.

btw...for those who didn't win free tickets, like me, then I think you can get a couple of dollars off for tickets if you are a AAA member. They did last year...and I found out about the discount immediately AFTER I bought my ticket...and they didn't give me the discount when I asked for it.

The Fair is the one time that not only am I willing to pay to park, but I'm willing to pay extra.

When I'm all done for the day, I have no desire to board a shuttle to get to my car. I'd rather take another 10 steps right to my car.

So we usually all pony up a little bit (I usually go with my parents, my sister and my son) and we share the cost of the better parking.

AAA card should be shown at the ticket booth when buying your entrance ticket(s).
