Hello DC, just finally signed up. Prompted by the all the TexFamily is going through. Funny how you feel like you know someone just from reading what they write.

Anyway, I too e-mailed for info on how to help, and we continue to pray for them. Going to donate blood tomorrow.

Guess I'll need a # at some point. I think we were up to 147 or so.

Thanks so much for all the months of entertainment here. I have lurked since the "disappearance" of Laura and have enjoyed all the comments. The site was very difficult to get on and I suspect there are still other frustrated lurkers out there. I finally spent time going back with the administrator and got it together. LBM too but Tommy is truly despicable. Am I the only one who doesn'y hear the word "fat" in my head when I see the initials FH? Oh and can I get a number?

Lurkers

I have been a lurker for some time as well, and hope I am able to manage to post this! Boy have you all changed my perspective on J&J and their cast of characters! I still listen a bit in the mornings from time to time and am usually sorry. Of course, I cannot turn on the famous "family" show until I drop my two-year-old off! Too many "why" questions would result, I'm sure, and I do not want her to pick up on any of their liberal use of foul language.

My family and I are also sending prayers and positive thoughts to the Tex Family.

TriCare does cover just about anything. I miss TriCare.

The baby hasn't been picked up by tricare yet and the hospital wanted their moola but tricare will reimburse the family once she gets enrolled.

I guess I figured that keeping a girl from the mall isn't going to keep her from meeting boys that want something. I figure that you would instead focus on instilling beliefs into the girl so that she can be exposed to the boys and still make the right decision.

Any comments?
Ritchie, I don't know how old you are or what you look like, but let me just tell you right now I have a few single lady friends who would love to meet a quality man like you with your beliefs in raising kids!

Hi TexFriend, If I'm not mistaken, the baby should be automatically covered for thirty days after birth. In that time, all of the paperwork needs to be filed because at the thirty day mark, coverage is lost, or resorts to Standard from Prime, which has less coverage. At least, that's how it was last I had it. I also think that the Chaiplan or Military Family Services rep can come down to the hospital and get all the paperwork taekn car of under the circumstances.

I really don't know what happened just that the CO took care of the current bill and now Sunnie's brother and DEERS is taking care of filling out all the forms. I think the problem was confusion between tricare prime and standard?

Could be. I know it depends on what Sunnie had. I always had Prime. Perhaps it works differently with Standard. Glad to know that there are people taking care of it now though.

So, I'm wondering if LBM is back on the bottle. She's been getting a little lax with her diary entries. Red flag? Or just too big of a deal and faaaarrrrrrr to busy to attend to her job duties?

Another newbie

I have been lurking for months and have been wanting to post for quite some time now, but have not had time to put all of my thoughts in a post.

Since reading all of the sad news about Sunny and baby Elenor, I felt the need to finally register and express my sincere simpathy and let everyone know that I am praying for Sunny, Elenor and the entire Tex family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I am O- blood type, so I will definitely go down in the next day or so and donate.

I am proud to finally have joined a great group of people. I will comment more on the showgram in a future post.

I would also like a number, if there are any left.

HesitantNoMore, Please let us know if a financial need arises for the Tex family. I am in Arizona so I cannot help locally and am not able to donate blood either but I would be happy to be part of a financial assistance drive if the situation comes to that. Thanks!

Newbie

I have been lurking for several months now, a few months or so after LBM went MIA. Tried to register last week when I heard the news about Sunnie, but apparently it took the administrator a while to process all the recent registrations.

Just wanted to quickly say that I am amazed at how generous and thoughtful you all are. In times of crisis you often see what people are made of. First with the fires and now with Sunnie, the way you all have responded has truly impressed me. You all have reached out to the Tex Family, even though you have never met them. I can't help but think that if LBM had a similar support group, she would never be in the world of trouble in which she now finds herself. Even LBM's radio "family" did little, if anything, to help her in her time(s) of crisis.

Yet here you all are, not even having met Sunnie, but offering your blood, sweat and tears for her and her family. You all are truly, truly amazing.

M20 opened for Jars of Clay about a year and half before they became famous. I was 12 years old and my sister was 17 and was a newspaper reporter for a college newspaper. She got free tickets to the concert and backstage passes so we could interview the bands. Anyhow, so this was Jars of Clay during the whole "Flood" era and the stadium is packed with kids and grandparents and such. RT gets up on stage and goes "this is my last night performing with Jars of Clay and I've been good the whole time...but f*** it, I'm going to have fun tonight." and then he proceeded to say about 5 cuss words...to which you could see the parents and grandparents rushing to cover the kid's ears.

So after the concert we go backstage to interview Jars of Clay. It's pretty late and there's not many people left when the interview is over. As we were leaving, we ran into RT and the drummer of M20. RT is now drunk and smoking. He calls us over so we go up to him and tell him that we thought the band did a great job. Then he looked at me and said, "Hey baby, wanna go back to my hotel?" My sister freaks out and yells at him, "She's 12!" and he looked at her and said, "Oh you're sisters...awesome, I've always wanted to do sisters." My sister continues to tell him how she's only 17 and I'm still 12. He finally got frustrated with us, blew smoke in our faces and walked away and said, "Stupid fans, everybody wants me."

This is why you I HATE RT.

And that is my "dirt" I can contribute.

Oh, and Junior Seau hit on my friend when he was drunk and we were 17...and he also knew we were in high school. Classy.

I'm a bit late in responding to this, but I was reading back on previous messages from the past days to catch up and just had to respond to this. I've always hated Matchbox 20 and their canned-sounding, shallow pop. Pretentious as all heck. And both my husband and I have always thought Rob Thomas to be truly annoying and could definitely catch the drift that he's utterly full of himself. This clinches it. Thanks, 11th Reader!!!

My positive thoughts are with Sunnie too, btw. Also been sending positive thoughts this week to my friends who just found out that their baby boy born a few weeks ago has a heart defect. He's doing okay though! I think the collective power of goodwill that everyone has on this board is quite tangible and inspiring. Keep it up, People!
