Oh wait so he said that on the radio???? I don't understand the whole relationship they have with the radio station...I think they are owned by clear channel? Are they really that big of deals that they have the power to just get away with anything? I know him saying someone is going to get laid in the scheme of things is distasteful but not really bad...I mean its not something the FCC can fine the station for...but did you know that every thing that goes on the air is recorded? I learned about in my media law class...its to essentially protect the radio stations...so say you heard something on the radio that you found offensive..if enough people complain about it then the FCC opens a case on it and the station is required to turn over the recordings...if something goes against the FCC's rules and regulations then the station can be fined...maybe even have their license suspended or revoked...but im wondering if the call ins are recorded...haven't people said in the past tommy talked inappriopriately to them? I wonder if those conversation are recorded...if so....that would be really interesting, Tommy could get in A LOT of trouble...

Funny. Last night I left the other board and deleted my link to it. I like this board because I can jump in and see exactly where I left off. There is no contest to win the "First-post-of-the-page" - I am just interested in the Spewgram trash. They have built a great social site over there but that is not for me. I truly hope that this board comes back to life. Wing Man ![]() |

Well said Jake. I don't post often, but have read this board faithfully since discovering it over a year ago. While I'm sure the Yuku site meets some folks needs, I'll keep my thoughts and comments here.
Read LBM's diary for today and have to say that it doesn't take a genius to figure out what her dreams mean. If she was versed in reality she could figure it out pretty darn quickly! |

Yes, the dirt this person is dishing out does seem interesting on the surface. However, I must ask what is modivating said person to "spill the beans?" I would warn to take it in stride and half believe what you read.

Ditto! "Unnamed sources" have clear pathways toward deceit. Hey, that's not bad -- I just made that up. Wonk, now you have to post it somewhere and say, "A wise old man once said....." P.S. Nice to see some of the old gang here as well. Sheens, thanks for staying in touch with us. P.P.S. Note to self: Be careful what I post here, it may haunt me on the other side! ![]() |

thanks Jake...I didn't realize how slow 8 hours of doing nothing I mean literally NOTHING at work can be...I just started new hours hence why I'm just learning this... It's true unnamed sources aren't always the most reliable...why is it in magazines like Ok! and Enquirer they have the outrageous stories about celebrities and then say....a reliable source says...or a close friend says...if they are so reliable why don't they reveal their name? And why would a close friend say bad stuff about someone? makes no sense...well I can give reasons to why a close friend would run to magazines but...in theory good friends don't do that type of thing... I don't know what was said on yuku or anything only what people are posting here so I'm not saying its true or false just in general wonk and jake have a point. Anyways Im off work have a goodnight everyone!!! ![]() |

Hey, it's nice to have two boards; each has its own purpose, personality, and comfort zone. As for the poster with inside info, take it with a grain of salt (or a whole canister). The wound of the Sunny/Surfin Texan fiasco is still sore. Sure they checked out this poster carefully, but we were told the same was done about Sunny and her family and friends. |

Layla, it's not a board war. Each board has its own distinct personality now so people can choose to post either place, or both! (or neither!)

oooh...page 666....bad mojo....interestingly the other board also had a 666 page turning recently....see?..we're all connected, and now, to quote a wise but occasionally shocking poster, "Let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya"

I get that Rowdy. I do. The thing is though, at YUKU we are having fun and just playing around. We are not talking about Apex and the good, bad or ugly of it. Here though, at least every time I check in, I see you guys discussing YUKU. Not J&J, but how much you all don't like YUKU and prefer here. That's fabulous, but why keep going on about it? And, a point I made earlier that some of you might have seen. Had we not moved, we'd all be here, trying to entertain ourselves the same way. It's not about the board, it's about the people. Everyone who found a way to entertain themselves with page turning and spanish would have done the same thing here, since there was no fodder. Take care all. |

Board War? Does that mean we have to wear camouflage, eat k-rations, learn to shoot like snipers, take prisoners of war...
Bored war is more like it. We really need to get off page 666 |

Okay....I'll do it myself!
Came across an old Diary entry....started to laugh at the question and answer rhythm of the writing. "Should I spend $195 for a two hour pole-dancing class being offered in Encinitas in a few weeks? Lot of money. Haven't exercised in a LONG time so I may be too outta shape. But, think of the fun stripper moves I'll learn. I've always secretly wanted to be a stripper. I wanna perform just once somewhere far away from here. My Cesarean scar is the one thing keeping me from ripping my clothes off. That and the size of my boobs. And, the fact that I have two young children. And, my boss might not like me doing that. And, that my husband might frown upon the idea. Anyway, that's thought number one." My Cesarean scar is the one thing keeping me from ripping my clothes off. That and the size of my boobs "Give it up for the beautiful, stomach-scarred, flat-chested woman, whose boobs still sag, the one and only 'Chardonnay Cain!" And the crowd goes home.... |

Need more, ey?
See the film "Amazing Grace" about the amazing William Wilberforce and his efforts to end England's slave trade. Great movie. Here is a quote from a speech he delivers in the film: "When I consider the magnitude of the subject which I am to bring before the House—a subject, in which the interests, not of this country, nor of Europe alone, but of the whole world, and of posterity, are involved: and when I think, at the same time, on the weakness of the advocate who has undertaken this great cause—when these reflections press upon my mind, it is impossible for me not to feel both terrified and concerned at my own inadequacy to such a task. But when I reflect, however, on the encouragement which I have had, through the whole course of a long and laborious examination of this question, and how much candour I have experienced, and how conviction has increased within my own mind, in proportion as I have advanced in my labours;—when I reflect, especially, that however averse any gentleman may now be, yet we shall all be of one opinion in the end;—when I turn myself to these thoughts, I take courage—I determine to forget all my other fears, and I march forward with a firmer step in the full assurance that my cause will bear me out, and that I shall be able to justify upon the clearest principles, every resolution in my hand, the avowed end of which is, the total abolition of the slave trade. I wish exceedingly, in the outset, to guard both myself and the House from entering into the subject with any sort of passion. It is not their passions I shall appeal to—I ask only for their cool and impartial reason; and I wish not to take them by surprise, but to deliberate, point by point, upon every part of this question. I mean not to accuse any one, but to take the shame upon myself, in common, indeed, with the whole parliament of Great Britain, for having suffered this horrid trade to be carried on under their authority. We are all guilty—we ought all to plead guilty, and not to exculpate ourselves by throwing the blame on others; and I therefore deprecate every kind of reflection against the various descriptions of people who are more immediately involved in this wretched business." Sounds like our President, ey? (no political bash intended....just mocking his very poor rhetoric.) |
