Exclamation

Check out the prize section. They've added
14 4-pack of tickets to universal studios
for next saturday. But the arrival time
is before 9 a.m. They want 8,000 points
for the package. I suspect you can call
the office and they will mail them to
you if you live in OC. If you have the
points or are close, this might be
the time to pounce. Other stations doing
a points program reset the points back
to zero at the first of the year. Not sure
if xtra will do the same. They are going to
throw in breakfest too next saturday. Probably
a danish and coffee.

Neutral, yeah, uh, had to replace that keyboard.
Don't know what's going on with the weekend points.
They did not post a link as of 6pm. Maybe later
tonight they will. I won't be home till after midnight
though. Hopefully they'll keep the link up if they
put it up at all. Nothing surprises me with these
people. I mean, their freakin' rules say they don't
shout out bonus codes till after 12 noon. Yet we've
heard the codes in the morning. I doubt they'll have
fifty people show up at that Universal Studios event
next weekend. I mean, they actually wanted you to
listen for you name on that one and then call in. Ha!

For me to listen to a sports station is like satan
having to listen to an all christian music station.

I must say I've been lucky that I haven't had to listen
for more than 5 minutes a day. Everybody on that
station sounds like they're auditioning for the
world wrestling federation. It gets old fast.

Nobody's bought diddly in the store either. mwaaaaaawwww.
I wanted five thousand points. I'll check back around 10 tonight.

No bc's this weekend. Next weekend at Universal. Hopefully someone will get it and post it. I'll listen tomorrow morning on the way to work even though I can't stand Mancow. Like Rome but then I'm at work.

Listened at top of hour at 4 and 6. Nothing.
Tried the obvious, Columbus, Holiday, Mancow,
and the rest of djs last names, nothing.
Possible they've shifted the code to Phil
Hendrie's slot, but I'll be out and about.
Oh well.

I actually got a xtra newsletter in my mailbox.
These are very rare for me. There's a link on
there to UPN 13 news. It says watch UPN tonight
and look for a bonus code. Then you register. You
can win a trip to LAS VEGAS, includes, airfare,
hotel, and a laker's game. Not bad. If they're
promoting this on UPN you can expect a lot of
competition. If not, hey, it's me, Tofu, Neutral,
and Sirrich3 and maybe Mike. What a deal. I'll
post the link when I get the code.

Got the same email!
Want more Ca$h Club Points? Just show up to some of our selected events and find out what our event bonus code 'word of the day' is. Then type it in and collect 2500 points. It's that easy! So come out and enjoy our broadcasts or station appearances and get your points...so you can get your prize quicker!

That's great Zippy, thanks! If it doesn't include UPN (although I'm sure it does), should we private message it to the people on this board or is that not in the spirit of things. Anyways, I'm going to call tomorrow and find out what's up with the consistency of the bc's. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for your efforts.

Hey Neutral. I have a contact number from 570. I emailed him with a concern that I had but never got a response. I also have his direct # and I will give him a call. And the code that UPN gives out, you have to type it into the reply letter from the newsletter via email. Hmmm maybe a little cut and paste

Ok. The UPN contest is the station's contest and
you do not need to link it from xtra sports. Although
xtrasports may have chipped in for an ad.

You have until noon the following day to enter
and you can enter as many times as you wish.

The UPN bonus code is: VIP

That will expire at noon on Thursday Oct 13.

I am going to post the link. You should probably
bookmark the link or ad it to your favorites
so you do not have to come back to this message
everytime.

Here is the link:
http://www.upn13.com/contest/

Since this is a board devoted to XTRA I will
probably not be monitoring the UPN code
in the future. But if you happen to come
across the code in the evening and want to share,
cool.

I will post the offical UPN rules, and then
let's be done with this.

Who Can Enter

1. Entrants must be legal residents of California who are 18 years of age or older and have lawful access to the Internet with a valid e-mail address.

2. Employees of Fox Television Stations, Inc. and Avalon Entertainment Inc. (“Sponsors”) and their affiliates, and the advertising and promotion agencies of Sponsor, and the immediate family members of such employees, are ineligible.

How To Enter

1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. There is no limitation on how many times a contestant can enter. In the event of a dispute, Sponsor will deem each entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent.

2. Promos will direct Viewers to tune in “UPN 13 News” weeknights at 11pm on UPN 13 and look for the “code word” that will come up on-screen for :05 at some time during the internal commercial breaks. To enter, identify the “code word,” then access the on-line contest entry form at www.upn13.com. Follow all instructions to complete the on-line contest form.

3. The Sweepstakes starts Monday, October 3 and will run through December 2, 2005.
It will run Monday through Friday only. The “code word” will appear sometime between 11pm and 11:30pm and the deadline for entry will be noon the following day. Friday night entrants will have until Saturday at noon. There will be one Prize winner each week, consisting of tickets to a music or sporting event. Each week’s winner will be drawn the following Tuesday. Station personnel will select the winner. Each week’s winner will be notified by e-mail that he or she has won. If for any reason the UPN 13 News does not air on a promoted contest night, that night will be taken out of the contest and only entries from the nights on which the news actually airs will be entered in that week’s Prize drawing.

4. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other contest information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the contest if it becomes technically corrupted.

The Prize(s)

1. There will be one or more pair of tickets to a live concert or sporting event awarded to one winner each week. The events will be changed each week. Winners will be told the retail value of their prize when they are notified that they have won.

2. Winner(s) will be required to sign and return an Affidvit and Release within 5 days of the date of notification or they will be disqualified. If a prize or prize notification is returned to Sponsor or its designated agent as undeliverable, then the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for online posting, and/or any advertising and publicity without additional compensation.

3. Prizes can not be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner(s). The winner(s) cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.

4. The winner(s) is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.

5. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize with a value of $50 or more within any 90-day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.

Odds of Winning Miscellaneous

1. Odds of winning a weekly prize depends on the number of correct entries received.

2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business
hours at KCOP, 1999 South Bundy Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90025 or on-line at www.upn13.com until December 6, 2005.

3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope at least 1 week after the end of the contest to: KCOP, 1999 South Bundy Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90025.

4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules.

By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and that their entry materials are original, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, (c) to Sponsor’s use of participants’ personal information as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy located at www.upn13.com and (d) that entry constitutes an assignment to Sponsors of all intellectual property rights in the entry materials, if any.
