A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN ON DVD

Just in time for Cinco De Mayo and the national boycotts being called “A Day Without Immigrants”comes the revival of the hilarious and heartwarming film that inspired it all, “A Day Without a Mexican.”

One morning, California wakes up to find that one-third of its population -- the Hispanic third -- has disappeared. A strange pink fog envelops the state, and communication outside its boundaries is completely cut off. The economic, political and social implications of this disaster threaten California's way of life, and for a group of disparate people (all white, except for one Latina), the cracks in their private lives are forced wide open.

“A Day Without a Mexican” is available wherever DVD’s are sold.

JACK FM SCREENING OF WIRED TO WIN: SURVIVING THE TOUR DE FRANCE
Thursday May 04, 2006
Join JACK FM for a special screening of “Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France” at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center’s IMAX® Dome Theater on Thursday, May 4th. The Science Center doors open at 6 p.m. for one hour of exhibit gallery exploration. Film starts at 7 p.m. This large-format film explores cutting-edge brain science through the dramatic story of the centenary Tour de France, a grueling three-week test of mind and body. Featured are two riders in this legendary bike race, Australian Baden Cooke, and his French teammate Jimmy Casper. The film follows Baden, Jimmy and the other elite athletes over the towering peaks of the Alps, through the knotted villages of Provence and across the cobblestone streets of Paris, as they try to avoid danger, deny crushing pain and fatigue, control their emotions, seize fleeting moments of opportunity and complete the race. Powering each of them, of course, is the universal source of ambition and ability: the human brain. The giant tilted IMAX Dome screen, combined with the world's largest film format, creates a super-realistic cinematic experience. The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is home to the world's first, and San Diego's only, IMAX Dome Theater. For more information visit www.rhfleet.org.

They are actualy using another firm to host their points program, plus technically manage the program. This is the same company managing many other radio station programs, including many in LA. Usually they have good response times, and only slow when they are making some kind of upgrade.

PeachieG: where did this info come from? I traded 1000 bananas for two tickets for this event a couple of weeks ago. They told me the movie was at 6! It seems the event starts at six, and the film at 7? And now it is a "free for all?" Thanks for future info>L
