Jeff, I've booted up and the BIOS setting tells me that the Battery is healthy and running normally.

However, I was hoping that my Dell has a setting that some Sony laptops have on their BIOS...

I've never gotten the message that I should replace my battery as some people posted.

I don't recall ever having a charge light, but the "plug" icon definitely registers every time it's plugged...

Even more frustrated now...I'm still not sure if it's the battery if the battery driver can't install properly as I've been trying. Does this mean it could be the motherboard and not the battery?
