It's onboard SCSI; can't take it out.
I'm having a problem with my installation of Linux Mandrake. What happens is that it starts the installation, then it attempts to loads for the onboard scsi, which is the Adaptec Aic 7879 I believe....

Is there anyway to switch tasks in the linux console? I always read how it is "multitasking" but I can't find any documentation on how to do this without being in some sort of X window environment....
I am having the same problem; I installed 3ds 4, then the 4.2 update, then the new cdilla files, and at the '3ds is initializing' portion of the program start up, it craps out, I get a blue screen...

The reason I'm asking is because there are a bunch of pesky unnecessary files running from startup, and, of course, they are not in the startup folder, so I'm trying to find a way to stop this from...
What is the msconfig equivalent in Win2k? I assume it is not msconfig since I can't find it.

The floppy doesn't give any trouble at boot. It's only under the OS that gives problems.
I'm using Windows 98 SE. The odd thing is that I just did nuke the computer and the floppy is doing it. As to if it was doing it before the nuke, I don't know; it was built just before it was nuked.
Two problems; any help/advice/info would be appreciated.
1) My computer seems very unstable when I have my sound card installed (ie locks up). With the card out, no problems. Seems pretty obvious...
