I think it's harder for the IT/sysadmin types because most of them have to manage windows machines and it seems like you have to hack your way through every problem doing that.

Actually back when I just got my camera, it was not yet supported by OS X so I couldn't access my images at all. Soon after, a software update fixed that so make sure you're running the latest.
