Long Weekend

Wow, but I had kind of an annoying weekend.

It started out ok, and all. ‘Cept for the rain.

Then I decided I had enough of my computer, and bought some parts, and went to upgrade. Just in time too, because my harddrive nuked itself, and my futzy dvd burner went all clicky on me too. Then I did something stupid and had to start all over again. Ended up losing some files – just a couple of pictures, which is sad because my last backup was the day before those pictures were taken. Ah well.

At any rate, I’m now running an Intel Duo Core 2 E6300, mostly because it was what they had. And yeah, this 1.8 is currently overclocked to 2.2, mostly because it was just that easy. I’d do more, but my memory ain’t up to it. Which is ok, I mostly don’t really believe in overclocking any more, but when they make it that bloody simple, you gotta do it a little.

I also ended up having to upgrade my video as well, since I sorta popped off a few rather important bits. I mean, I only do this for a living, you’d think when it came to my home rig, I could avoid the comedy of errors.

It’s done now, anyway. Sheesh.
