Happy Birthday, Baby

Happy Friday. A day no one can take away from you. Which is especially true for the wife, who also has yet another magical birthday today.

Yeah, ok, I dunno about magical. We both are getting ready to trip over 40 here, so they tend to lose their impressiveness. Other than hey, I’m still here.

And in my case, hey, I still have hair.

Though part of me loves them, because I rather like growing old with my wife. I like the fact that her hair maybe has some grey in it. Ok, a lot of grey, but she’s married to me, that was going to happen. That’s why god invented Dye. Personally, I like the grey, but then I don’t care what color my hair is as long as I in fact have hair. Short bald Italian guy is not what I want hanging over my head. Come in bright pink for all I care.

Ok, how the hell did this end up all about my hair?

The point is…..the point is….hold on here….ok, the point is, I love my wife. And each birthday is a treasure, a notch on the belt of one more year we had together, from the time we were uh…16ish to now.

38 does not make one feel old with that perspective.

It makes you feel accomplished.
