Matt Bianco Monday
We start off our Monday with a little old school Matt Bianco, with one of my favorite jazz type singers, Basia. Ahead of their time, they were. Because I said so. I had an odd weekend, as I have been having a lot of lately. Friday night it finally rained, and a hell of a storm it was too. I would have slept right through it anyway had the dog not been in meltdown mode, but wonder of wonders, not one single tree or even a branch came down. This is...unusual to say the least. Saturday we were going to spend the day cleaning. And we did, it just was more localized then intended, and Friday night the one real closet we have in the house fell apart. Our house has big rooms, but tiny bedrooms with even tinier closets. The one closet with space in the living room is full of shelves I put in 7 years ago, and featured every article of clothing my wife has ever ever owned. So after one power suit too many, boom it went. So we spent the day fixing the shelves and finding clothes to send to goodwill. Those that my daughter didn't suddenly take for herself because apparently, she grew up some when I wasn't looking. Strange how that happened. Saturday night I played some God of War while the wife and oldest went to the park to try and catch the meteor shower, in between rain storms. They got stopped by the police, since the park is a popular hangout spot at night for the kids. Sunday, we tried to clean up again. I cut down a lilac bush that had grown to monster size, only to anger a horde of ground bees living in the roots. That was fun. Other life I encounter: a few wasps, a literal metric ton of dragon flies, and lots of toads. I'm afraid to mow at this point, I think it would a slaughter. Sliced up toad is gross. At any rate, I hope your weekend had a little less life to it. You go have a day.
