Well, I caved as I’m sure you knew I would, and picked up a white Macbook. It’s the Spanish version, so while everything is in English, the keyboard has some extra Spanish characters and takes a little getting used to. But what the hell, I get an employee discount so it was a good deal.

Plus, now Sammy isn’t stuck doing homework in the same room as a raging 4 year old. Plus, I can always swap out the keyboard if it gets annoying, but QWERTY is all in the right place so what the hell.

Otherwise, tonight is Sammy’s attempt to fly the plane she has hopefully been building this week at camp, and that should be cool to see. I have a dream of a daughter who becomes head of NASA and flies me down for free to watch launches and maybe ask my opinion on things that reluctantly, I give, if only for the good of the US space program and its defense against the alien invaders.

Yeah, I have complicated fantasies, and almost all of them involve aliens at some point.
