The Root Canal, Or Why Do Potatos Hate Me?

You know, it's just been one of those weeks.

I'm at work, eating a potato chip. Rippled. When suddenly I notice that I'm chewing more than just chip. Remember that tooth that was bothering me on an off? Well, apparently it was cracked, and I broke it. Naturally, my dentist...my [i]former[/b] dentist, who I had just seen 1 month ago for that tooth, was out.

I must have called 10 dentists before I found one that could see me.

Apparently the tooth had been cracked a while, because there was decay in there, and this morning I'm going in for an emergency root canal.

I want to point out that I find it funny it happened on my anniversary. See, the week of our wedding, I was eating french fries when a wisdom tooth that was scheduled for extraction a month later shattered in my mouth.

I dunno what it is about potato based products and my teeth. But I think from now on, I'm skipping the Frito Lays during August.
