Tired Monday
Good gravy, what a tiring weekend. Friday I did some yard work and chilled for a bit, which was good because it turned out to be the most relaxed part of my weekend. Yard work. Well, I watched Quantum of Solace, which also had a Quantum of plot. Saturday we were off early to get Sammy to a music thingy, where she played in a trio and in her Jazz band. Then we headed out to get our eyes checked out and order up some new glasses. Then we went to gamestop, where I tried to get a 12 year old to make a decision in less then an hour. By the time I got home, my left foot was throbbing, and I was fairly hobbled. The various women I live with took turns melting down, so I tried to be a good husband, father, AND kill zombies. I mostly managed it. Sunday, with my foot in a nice ace bandage, I took 3 crabby girls - well, 2 somewhat crabby girls and Stella, who is really more manic/depressive - to IKEA. A place I never intend to go to again. But we picked up a second dresser for Sammy, because the dresser I managed to get by with from the time I was 9 till I was oh, 27, is not enough for all her clothes. I hear girls are different in that way. At this point, I'm almost happy to be going to work. Except I have to be on my feet, and my left foot is just killing me. So...not exactly an easy listening kind of weekend, but at least I personally don't actually need new glasses. Yeah, that's my upside. You go have a day.
