Good Stuff, Maynard
I hope you had a good Father's Day weekend. I did some work around the house, and did some gaming. And dealt with crappy estrogen. But the big thing we did was go to the Minnesota Historical Museum, specifically to see the Greatest Generation exhibit. There was lot of interesting stuff there - and I'm a sucker for old things, so I really enjoyed the old TV display with vintage electronics, including a cool TV/Radio/Record player set that I desired greatly. It's always interesting to just kind of imagine living before computers, or 200 channel TV or well...most things we take for granted now. And yet, they were on the cusp of a great many changes, changes that led to everything we have now. They created our future. They just had to deal with a depression and fight a war first. Makes you wonder what might happen after we fight our wars and deal with our recession. What are we on the cusp of? What is it out there our kids and grandkids will take for granted, that we cannot even envision? Too deep for a Monday? You go have a day.
