Happy Birthday, America!
Yeah, I'm a day early, but I won't be around tomorrow for your big event. You look pretty good for your age, though you could lose a few pounds. Heard about your retirement fund, sorry about that. But cheer up. It ain't all bad, you know. And hey, any excuse to party, right? Yeah, I know how you roll. I know there are people out there thinking there is no hope and things are going to pot, but I don't believe in the worst case scenario, and I know you don't really either. You wouldn't exist if you did. You'd be England 2.0. So go on, kick up your heels and live a little. Birthdays only come once a year. Sure, maybe you need a smaller cake, and maybe this years party won't be as lavish, but you're hanging out with family and friends, right? That's all that matters. But I'd just go with the one, symbolic candle this year. Trying to keep the carbon footprint down, right?
