No Fear of Carnies
I had a damn busy weekend. First though, on Friday I think I ate some bad almonds, as around 11 pm I threw 'em back up, after suffering from a painful stomach most of the night. So that sucked, but at least it was just the one time. Saturday we went to the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting (http://www.pavekmuseum.org/) which was just absolutely cool. They had everything from wax recordings to Victrolas and radios and old TV's and old studio cameras and and and...it just was cool. The neat thing was they would power up some of this stuff, like the first wireless remote that you dialed like a rotary phone to change the channels on the radio. We spent a good 2 hours there, can't say enough about it. Then we dropped the oldest off at her cousins house, ate a really bad buffet, and collapsed at home and watch Ghost Town, which really turned out to be the perfect movie for our brain dead selves. Sunday we headed out to Duk Duk Daze and were accosted by carnies until we snagged a pink dolphin and a years supply of cotton candy. Then Greta ran out, bought some plants, and for some reason a tent (that I can guarantee I'll never be in for I am not the sleep outdoors type) and I zonked out for a bit on the couch after a cotton candy bender. So, aside from the incidental puking, it was a good weekend. You go have a day.
