I know that there's a program out there that will allow multiple windows...kinda like litestep/afterstep, where you can have virtual screens.
So, I don't want a completely different shell, but an app that allows you to have

If anybody knows of any, can you direct me to a website?

thanx in advance...

I don't know if win2k supports it or not, but in win98 you can do monitor sharing if you use another video card and another monitor great for webpage or CAD design... A cool feature MS stole from MACs and SGI...

this is not what I meant. I don't know if you've ever used Afterstep/litestep, or any other unix box window manager (window maker, etc.), but they have a little window manager thing, where you have these virtual desktops, and you can switch to a desktop that's present, but not on a monitor.

I don't actually want to use litestep on my machine, but I know that there is a program that you can use on the explorer shell, and still have multiple desktops (not on multiple monitors...let me make that clear...not on multiple monitors).

There is a program that will give you as many virutal desktops that you would like, it is called Perfect Screens and it is a nice program. It works on Win2k as I use it at work. Here is the web page if you want to check it out: http://softwareutilities.com/psindex.htm
