The release of Baldur's Gate 2 onto store shelves is a BIG thing. I don't see anything that could be considered great being released in the few remaining months of this year. Giants imo looks pretty interesting but I wonder how it will sell in the pc market. The next BIG game to come out is Duke Nukem forever which alas is taking forever to come out.

You guys are stuck in the genre-based-game state-of-mind. think out of the box! black and white! nothing is like it! it's not a sequel to anything because nothing is comparable! sure, things are similar, but nothing is as intense.

I read a study that showed that approximately 23% of the adult population in Korea plays starcraft at least once a month. This was published about 6 months ago. Wonder why? Starcraft was OK, but Im waiting on Warcraft3.

I think TF2 is vaporware... but Halo... that could be a clincher for Xbox now that they scrapped the PC version. But only if it lives up to all its hype.

Are you sure that they have for sure scrapped the PC version of Halo? I will be really mad if that is true. Have a source? One thing that really impresses me about this game, besides the graphics of course, is that there is going to be no loading delays between levels or different parts of a mission. The level will be continuously streamed during game play for the benefit of the impatient folk out there!

Ya I'm sure... Bungie, the makers of Halo, were bought out by Microsoft last June. The team had the entire engine done and had to scrap it to use the X-Box to its fullest capabilities. I'm getting this from NextGen, 05/01 issue.

I'm a sucker for games like Zelda and Metroid... If they are half as good as they appear to be on GameCube, then they've already got me sold. Frankly, I only bought my PS2 for Gran Turismo 3, MGS2, and Final Fantasy.
