I have no Access 2000 experience and my boss wants me to build a searchable dbase. I need to create a searchable help database for network connectivity on our campus. The basic idea he wants is, you type in a question, and the database will search a help table by looking at keywords in the user input. It would then bring up a list of topics that the user could select from. (much like a searchable FAQ) Can anyone give me some tips on how to go about accomplishing this??
Thanks, Wilks |

What types of data will you be including in the db? Things like IP's, gateways, domains, etc. or different types of networking equipment.
If it's more of a faq type thing you may want to go with a knowledgebase instead of Access. Just some thoughts from an intermediate Access user. |
