Thumbs up

I like it! It has a more precise feel to it. I think it's a little faster too.

I don't like Netscape. Occasionally, it doesn't load up some web pages or some errors happen. IE5.5 is faster than Netscape 6, IMO.

I did a bad thing and gave in to the hype and installed N6. I hated it. The one thing that pissed me off most was all of the extra crap that was installed in the default installation. Net2Phone, etc etc. Also, it plopped about 6 icons on my desktop without my asking, of course for AOL and what not. Sheesh! I promptly deleted that sack of poo.

Netscape 6 sucks, it lloks like a suppliment to aol 6.0. i cant even use my scroll wheel on my mouse right, it takes away the universal scroll function. also yahoo companion doesnt work with it ( http://companion.yahoo.com ). you cant triple-click to select paragraphs, the aol im button is nowhere to be found (i thought aim was "integrated" in netscape 6. this is all after 5 minites of using it.

oh looky here, the aim button is in the bottom left hand corner of the window, it must be a whole 8 pixels by 8 pixels. great they also took out all the cool features that aol put in aim 4. yay. look no more voice chats, no more IM images, no more file transfers, no buddy icon, no aim games. nobody used any of those features anyway. at least i can use 2 screen names at the same time, that comes in handy.

looks like im going back to netscape 4.7, im sure theres no tricky uninstall or anything.

Actually now that i've used it more, I can't get used to it. Too many sites don't work well. My Gator password helper dosn't work either, since I guess it's all java based now. I rely on gator way too much to enter passwords and fields for me.

Talking Netscape 5...

So what happened to Netscape 5? <g>

I guess they gotta keep up/surpass IE so people think they're on the same level... what a joke.

You guys have me scared to upgrade to version 6 now....

My Nutscape 6 kinda just sits there...won't go to ANY web pages...and it takes about 10 times longer than IE to load.

How the heck do you keep this "connection was refused by gotapex.com" that pops up once in a while when I'm on the site? I think its like an add server or something like that. What do I need to check or uncheck in the options to keep this from happening? Thanks.
