Windows Time and DST

http://geography.about.com/cs/daylightsavings/a/dst.htm

Anyone know how a Windows machine is going to know that DST is changing next year? Are they releasing an update that causes Windows Time to be adjusted?

I don't think Windows will know. Maybe just disable day light saving, don't turn it on until you pass that 4th weeks.

If only that was workable in a business environment with plenty of PCs to support.

It looks like Microsoft is only going to offer an update for products it still supports. For older versions of windows, you have to change them manually.

I'd like to propose we make DST permanent and then add another hour of DST in the June and July.

I second that idea. It's a good idea. And we summarily are ignored by everybody in any position to actually change it. Oh well.
