Lightbulb e-mail vacation program

I use it one time that would get my email for me when I was away from home. But also keep the e-mail on my internet suppliers site, so I never miss my e-mail. And the original be safe for when I got back home. Its like just sent me a copy of received e-mails? This was a free program. Any ideas?

You can use any email program. They usually have an option for "leave copy of messages on the server" or something to that effect.

How about just checking your email from a web browser? It won't remove the emails from the server. It just downloads the headers so if you're on a slow connection, no problem.

I use mail2web.com and it works very well for me. I'm sure there are several more sites out there that will do the same thing. I also have seen some ISPs that have web based email checking on their home pages.

Check with your provider to see if they have a "webmail.*.*" or "mail.*.*" site where you can check your messages. They'll stay on the server for you to d/l when you return home.
