DVD Collection Management Software?

I currently have a very basic excel file which lists the DVDs I own. As of now if only includes the titles of the movies. I want to add in the year of release and the director if possible. I have too many movies to look them up and enter them manually. Is there a software that could do this for me? I know there are programs that find info (album covers, etc) for your music, so there must be something out there for movies.

thanks!

DVD Profiler-its free for download and great in my book. I use it to keep track of my whole 160 plus collection of DVD!
Do a internet search you find it. There is also a pay for version but for a home owner you really don't need it!

Dvd profiler is actually pretty good. I ran into issues with it because I had too many dvds for the free version. I ended up writing my own in PHP and MYSQL and hosting it online. I think my current list is up to 1300+ titles.

The actual number of discs is much higher though, since many are box sets...

I haven't tried one of these, cause I just can't bring myself to logging them all in. I have somewhere in the range of 300 TV Seasons on DVD. I haven't counted lately. I guess I should.

I had a DVD program at one point and couldn't bring myself to enter everything in.
Since mine are mainly TV Shows though, I keep a general tracking of them at TVShowsondvd.com But I haven't updated my list in forever

One thing nice about DVD Profiler is you can log them in by UPC or by title if its a burned copy (who said that) you can still add it to your collection.

Looking back, I should have actually purchased the software. This was years ago, and at that time no one would actually say how many dvds you could put into the free version. For some reason it was some kind of big secret. Oh course this might have been changed by now, or for all I know this limitation might have been removed.

For Mac users there is a really nice program out there as well, this one can actually use your iSight webcam to scan the barcodes from your collection.
