Camouflage: Hide your files
I came across this interesting app while reading up on email security. It seems pretty useful in the hands of a white hat:

http://camouflage.unfiction.com/ Simply put, the name of the game is sending a hidden file or message in a way that people don't know you're sending a hidden message. Sure you can encrypt a message, but people would know you were hiding something if they intercepted it. Neat idea, but I could see some people abusing this tool for the dark side.

Hmmmm...I think my wife will get suspicious if she sees an ordinary Word file with a 1KB sentence take up more space with my hidden p0rn file encrypted to it. Hehe.
I'll have to try it when I get home.

Not sure how much of that was a joke, but just a warning: Text editors tend to convert or alter files (including hidden unreadable content). Opening a camo'd file in word, notepad, wordpad, etc. could corrupt your hidden file beyond repair. |
