DL software?

I want Photoshop but don't really want to pay $500+ for it. I don't want to pirate it either. I did a search and found several places where you can DL just about any software for low prices. Photoshop can be had for about $50. Anyone ever use any of these type sites? Are they legit?

Let's turn it around...

Do you REALLY think you can get legit software like that? A $500 application for $50? If it sounds too good to be true, it is...

Good trick I've used in the past is to buy an old version on ebay & then buy the upgrade to the current version. Much cheaper than buying a full package.

Or just get a copy of PaintShop Pro - about 95% of the functionality of Photoshop for about 20% of the cost.

The Gimp is supposed to be pretty good (haven't tried it myself). If you are using Photoshop for photo editing, the Elements programs (they are up to 5.0 now) will give you everything you need at a fratcion of the cost.
