Goto Files, Identities, manage identities, then properties, and there is a box where you can check to require a password to enter access your mail.
What a nosy roommate you have. |

thanks... its because he broke up with his girl and always thought something was up between me and her... so he checks to make sure i'm keeping in touch with her... which i find offending considering i've been his roomate for 3 years... thanks again

I think you actually should make a new identity, and make that the primary one, so you have to chnage identities in order to acess your mail. I don't use that program anymore since I have MS Outlook now.

Put NT4 or W2K on your machine & set up profiles for yourself & whoever else uses the machine.
Format the drive as NTFS, and make sure you remove all access to the folder that you store your mail (except under your userID, of course). If you use W2K, encrypt the folder as well. |

Get a new rommate
. Heheh, all joking aside. Either make sure when you log off, select in 'File' "exit and log-off" Or make a second identity and have that be the default. Then when you need to check your mail switch and switch back when done. |

Or you can simply set a password when the computer boots. Most people won't be able to figure out how to bypass that (although it's not difficult :-) )

Usually just open the case & remove a jumper - next time you boot, the PW will be gone. Sometimes you have to pull the MB battery & wait for the BIOS to lose its settings. In either case, make sure if you set a password to also lock your case....
