Spyware, ad blockers and keyloggers

Oh My!

I just wanted to know if Spybot and adware are still the defacto adware/spyware killers.

Since I've started playing MMO's and thus visiting their website (Ok, I'm mostly looking at WOW here) the number of keyloggers I come across is insane. I'm wondering if there is something I can run frequently that will also look for these types of malware. I am not against running 3 programs for 3 different things, I just want to know what to run

Currently:

Updated Firefox
with the following addons:
Adblock Plus
Noscript

TrendMicron PC-Cillin Internet Security
(updated as needed)

Zonealarm

Is there anything else I should be doing?

I personally find Spybot and AdAware the equivalent of bringing a knife to a gunfight any more. I haven't used either one in years.

Have a look at this - it's a long read, but pretty on-the-mark:

I have also become a fan of the free version of Rising Antivirus, which has a good HIPS component built in. I am running that along with Javacool Spyware Blaster.

I had to clean off my neighbor's computer after his 14-year old son was looking for pr0n in all the wrong places (like anything .ru). He had a hellaciously nasty piece of malware that disabled spywarebot, their anti-virus software, and windows update (among other things). I personally use Malwarebyte's anti-malware scanner (free) in addition to other programs, as that was what ultimately cleaned off this nasty malware that my neighbor had.

I know what you mean though Nija, there's a TON of keyloggers out there - the number of MMO scammers out there is insane.
